possible PPO event
I recently sent this email to the council as a possibility for filling a presentation timeslot for PPO's schedule. I got a couple of positive replies so far and hope we can talk about the possibility at the council meeting. I have seen the presentation and it is quite good.

Cascadia Root Force has an excellent presentation on the Security and
Prosperity Partnership" that we would like to ask groups to host us.
If you attended the Global Exchange info tour on SPP over the summer,
we get more into the details on how it operates, history, and relates
to NAFTA, Plan Mexico, Corporate Globalization, and local issues like
LNG and road expansion. We are actively engaged with activists
throughout North America in opposing and researching the SPP and it's
plans for corporate governance.
We have been researching this partnership for over a year and have put
together a very informative presentation that we would like to share,
as this information needs to be brought to a broader audience. We
aren't asking for money though it helps, we would just like groups to
host the presentation. It is 2 hrs presentation, with 50 page
powerpoint, and information on corporations involved.
We have presented in the past at:
Convergence for Climate Action in 2007 and 2008
City Repair Village Building Convergence 2008
PSU for Students for Unity
M.e.Ch.a. Regional Conference
In Solidarity,

PPO outreach to PSU and broader public community
I would like to propose that we talk about the possibility of hosting some outreach/educational events at PSU during the next council meeting. These would be open to the public and PSU would help us publicize them. I have met with a gentleman there and they are willing to offer us a number of different rooms for free to do such events including the movie theater. It would be good to get more people involved, including a broader age and demographic range.

Where?
Transition Buzz group is meeting in the Che room. Where are we meeting? (I prefer 3 friends or Red & Black)
shared meeting
currently the idea is to have it be a shared meeting. depending on who is able to attend then we might need break out groups.
